I have been bidder 3 times at foreclosure sales at the courthouse steps for my self. The first time, around 20 years ago, I was the only bidder besides the bank but was overbid at court confirmation by another buyer. The 2nd time I bid a dollar over the bank and ending up getting the property. The 3rd time was today. I had bid in August on a house in Kapaa. As the bank didn’t show with their bid at the foreclosure sale, I bid a reasonable amount. But today at court confirmation the bid was opened again and they bid more then the tax assessed value, which on this house was pretty accurate. The house will come up as a REO. And if its listed with me, I won’t be able to purchase it. It’s okay I’m moving on. Thats a picture of the house to the left. Aloha Julie.
