Commentary:

There’s not much news this month in regards to Kauai Foreclosures & REOs. I added in a United States Marshal Service (USMS) seizure. Here’s a link to a basic summary from TGI.   Many years ago I had another USMS seizure in Wailua Homesteads, Kauai. I was briefly acquainted with the former owner. He would come into the real estate office where I started as an agent, as he was a client of my broker. I remember overhearing him tell my broker he doesn’t understand why people just don’t pay a few hundred more in rent ($900 rather then $600 a month) as they can get a much nicer rental for a few hundred more. I specifically remember thinking to myself, well not everyone’s a drug dealer. $300.00 a month was a lot back in the day (1980s). Years later it was no surprise when I heard the property was seized (1990s). USMS seized property Kauai.
