Commentary:
There have been more and more bidders at foreclosure auctions. The few I have gone to, I am seeing the same faces. Personally I don’t like bidding against other people. Out of the 4 times I was a winner at a Kauai foreclosure auction, I was the only bidder besides the bank. Correction the bank did not bid at one of the foreclosure auctions but rather outbid me at the court confirmation. I also lost another home at court confirmation where I choose not to bid. That was many years ago where my winning bid was $99,000 for a home in Kilauea. That loss still bothers my husband. I don’t have any desire now to pick up another home but rather improve the ones I have.
