Kauai Foreclosures, Kauai REO July 2021 List-Coco Palm Resort

This is my monthly Kauai foreclosure, Kauai REO & Kauai bank owned list. It is updated monthly.

Upcoming Kauai Foreclosure Available for Sale:

The iconic Coco Palms Resort in Kapaa, Kauai, was opened in 1953 and known to many from Elvis’s film, Blue Hawaii (1961).  Coco Palms has been sitting abandoned for almost 30 years, since it was destroyed by Hurricane Iniki in 1992.  The current owners had plans to restore the resort, but they were struggling and the lender appears to have run out of patience.

Coco Palms Resort is going to be auctioned on July 26, 2021, 12 p.m., at the Fifth Circuit Courthouse in Lihue (front steps).  Being sold by Private Capital Group, Inc., a Utah Corporation.  Viewing of the property will be by appointment request of prospective bidders.

Commentary:

If the auction of the Coco Palms Hotel is creating chatter on social media. Many island residents want to see it turned into a cultural park. The original structure is most likely unsafe and will be torn down. With people not traveling out of the country Hawaii is experiencing over tourism and another hotel is not needed. Im hoping to go to the auction to see the final outcome.I will then update this post. Call 808 652-6174 or email me kauaidreams97@gmail.com if you would like to work with me as your agent.
