Want to know where the best place for acai bowls and shave ice is on Kauai? It’s at Kalalea Juice Hale in Anahola, Kauai. I know this because I’ve lived on Kauai all my life and I always eat out. Haha!

To this day it’s still one of my favorite places to eat on Kauai. Be sure to check out my favorites on the menu!

Kalalea Juice Hale

Background and Location

Kalalea Juice Hale is located in the town of Anahola. Anahola is the next little town north of Kapaa town. It’s located on the left side of the highway if you are coming from Kapaa. You can’t miss the bright orange hut right across from the general store on the right side of the highway.

This juice stand opened a few years ago and it was a pleasant surprise. The property has been leased to a Hawaiian family for many years and is located on Hawaiian homes land. Now the same Hawaiian family and their kids are running this juice stand. The creative recipes at Kalalea Juice Hale are original recipes from their son Chatson who is passionate about cooking.

Hours of Operation

Wednesday to Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm.

My Favorites

First off their acai bowls are the best. Honestly, you can’t really go wrong with anything on their menu. I also suggest trying their specials of the day. I haven’t tried anything on their specials menu that I didn’t like.

If you are a coffee person the one-speed smoothie is a must-try. I also love their shaved ice because their ice is soft and their syrups are natural. Some shave ice places are made from corn syrup and artificial flavors. Their ice is also very soft which is major! Major meaning important.

Other favorites are their Shaved Ice – any flavors! I recommend only getting 2 flavors max per shaved ice.

Ok, I didn’t mention any of my favorite juices and they have the word juice in their name. Honestly, I really just go there for the acai bowls or one speed smooth or shave ice. I have tried a few of their juices and I did enjoy them. Usually, I get my juice fix from Kauai Juice Company another local business on Kauai.
