Commentary:
Usually prior to a home being foreclosed on by a mainland bank, I will get requests from a third party asking me to do a Broker Price Opinion (BPO) on their electronic system. The third party company is usually hired by the bank so they can get an idea of what to bid at the foreclosure auction. I did a number of these during the recession. I hardly do them now as they take up time. However I made an exception as one company was desperate, the property was near my office, and they agreed to pay me what I wanted. It’s the property at 5606 Kawaihau Road. I’m guessing the bank will take it back.
