Editorial: Wow a lot has been going on since my last foreclosure blog in February. Besides normal computer problems ( I have a new computer and new email now), there’s been this work wide pandemic aka Covid-19. Has Covid-19 affected Kauai real estate? Of course it has. an informal survey with other agents gives an escrow drop out rate of 30 -50%. The 50% tends to be with the agents who specialize in second home or investment buyers. The lower rate had less drop outs with primary home buyers.
There are buyers out there wanting deals. They may find them in REO properties. There’s less competition then before. However the lending standards on certain banks have even gotten tighter then before. It’s a good time to check with your lender before you place a bid.
