Julie A. Black is the Principal Broker (RB-14203) and owner of Kauai Dreams Realty. A resident of Kauai since 1976, she has more than 38 years of licensed real estate experience. Julie was recently recognized as one of Hawaii’s Top 100 Realtors by Hawaii Business magazine for the second year in a row, and named and Best Kauai Realtor in The Garden Island’s Best of Kauai 2011 Awards. (She got 2nd place for 2012 & 2013). Julie’s extensive knowledge of the real estate industry and island community, enable her to provide exceptional value to her clients. Julie maintains an active presence in her community and on the Kauai Board of Realtors (KBR). She served as Chair of the Grievance Committee for approximately 10 years. She subsequently served as the 2007 KBR Vice President; previous KBR Board of Director; KBR Education Chair for the Education committee. She has served on the County Board of Review from 2014 to 2020.

In 2001, Julie was designated a Certified Residential Specialist, in recognition of her professional accomplishments in both experience and education. The CRS designation is the highest designation awarded to sales associates in the residential sales field and comprises just 4 percent of all REALTORS®.

As part of her focus on maintaining a high level of professionalism, Julie also obtained the GRI designation. GRI Realtors are highly trained in many areas of real estate to better serve and protect their clients.

Julie’s latest professional designation is the Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist (CLHMS) from the Institute of Luxury Home Marketing which she obtain in 2013. This designation required past sales in the higher price ranges in the county of Kauai.

Julie is a graduate of Santa Monica High School, and the University of Hawaii at Manoa (BS). She is married to Milton “Jojo” Caspillo of Kapaa, and has two daughters, Kela and Leilani. Kela Caspillo is currently an agent for Kauai Dreams Realty too.
