4587 Kala Road took 5 years from it being assigned to me to close escrow . Years of Harassment Has Ended
Where do I begin. Maybe at this blog I wrote 5 years ago. Breaking & Entering is not a path to Homeownership. We finally closed last month. I will probably write the 2nd half of the blog this month. To make a long story short, the squatter lost their lawsuit. The ruling was in the banks favor. The squatter missed his period of appeal. The property was listed. We had an accepted contract. The squatter who lives 2 doors down at a relatives found out and filed a new lawsuit asking the judge to vacate the court’s decision, based on their reasoning that the state of Hawaii does not include Kauai as we has a separate King, King Kaumuali’i. The former squatter serves me his hand made subpoena 2 days before the court date.
Fortunately The subpoena wasn’t valid, the court did not rule in his favor and we closed the transaction. A five year ordeal. So yes truth can be stranger than fiction when it comes to real estate. I’ll post the link to my more detailed blog when I write it. PS. I don’ know where the Eleele address came from on the faux subpoena. I’m just really happy we closed and a wonderful family got to move in.
