- 4854 Aliali Road, Kapaa MLS#722639. Price Reduced $649,900. This home was not a foreclosure but rather a deed-in-lieu of foreclosure. A 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home of approximately 960 sqft on a 8,120 sqft lot. Inside there are 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. Behind the carport is a bath area that consists of a shower, toilet and laundry sink. The walls are the single wall redwood. Single level and open floor plan. Large lanai off the back of the home that overlooks the fruit orchard yard. Privacy hedge in front.

Commentary:
The property at 5404 Weke Rd just up the road from Hanalei Bay has been on the journey to foreclosure twice before. The first time it was cancelled due to the owners claiming bankruptcy. This often is a path homeowners take when their house is in foreclosure. But usually the bankruptcy just stalls the foreclosure process. During the second attempt to foreclose on the property, one of the owners passed away. Death will often put a stall on any legal process. I’m expecting this time for the foreclosure to be completed, but you never know.
