Kauai REO, Kauai Foreclosures November 15, 1014 Update

This is my monthly Kauai REO, Kauai Foreclosure Blog. It is a compilation all Kauai MLS listed bank owned properties. It is updated at least twice a month or weekly if the Kauai REO activity has increased.

3. 4793 Nonou Rd, Wailua Houselots. 4 bedrooms 2.5 bath home on a lot of 12,577 sq.ft. MLS#278658 $480,000. Owned by Freddie Mac.

3. 5837-A Olohena Rd, Kapaa. 2 houses for a total of 5 bedrooms 3 bath on a 41,556 sq.ft. lot. MLS#277751, $514,900. Owned by Freddie Mac. Previously sold at $755,000.

Kauai Sold REO Properties:

1. 6155 Waipouli Rd #2, Wailua/Kapaa. This is a 4 bedroom 3 bath home in need of some repair on 2 acres. MLS#277270. $699,000. Owned by Bank of Hawaii. Sold for $650,000 cash on 11/14/14.

Kauai Courthouse Foreclosures

On November 14th, Friday I went to the Lihue courthouse to see the auction of the property at 3546 Old Mill Place in Koloa. I had been assigned this property as a “PRE-REO” ahead of the foreclosure date. As I was in the area I though I would stop by. There was also another foreclosure sale scheduled for the same time for the property at 4343 Hoohana St in the Lihue area of Hanamaulu. I was paying attention to the Old Mill Place foreclosure. The bank per their attorney only bid $297,913.50 and the Realtor who had it listed previously bid $1,000 more as required by the commissioner. I was surprised the bank let it go that low. The Hanamaulu house that had a bigger auction crowd. It sold for $44,995.16. Bank of America was the high bidder.
